The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day cleaning operations across multiple residential properties. This includes supervising cleaning staff, coordinating turnover schedules, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, managing inventory, and liaising with operations and maintenance teams. The role demands both leadership and hands-on participation in cleaning duties when necessary.
Supervise and support a team of housekeepers (cleaners)
Oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules for both short-term and long-term units
Ensure timely completion of turnovers and biweekly cleanings in long-term units
Perform quality checks after cleanings to ensure standards are consistently met
Step in to assist with cleaning when necessary, during high-volume days
Keep the team operational staff wise. Hiring is main responsibility for this role.
Communicate with operations and front-of-house to confirm guest check-in/out times
Coordinate with the laundry service for timely pickup and drop-off
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, uniforms, and tools
Track supply usage and submit requests for restocking
Ensure carts and kits are prepped daily for cleaning staff
Track attendance, hours worked, and performance of team members
Report maintenance issues or guest-related damages immediately
Ensure completion of daily logs, checklists, and quality reports
Train, onboard, and support new cleaning staff
Foster a respectful, accountable team environment
Report to management with daily updates, issues, and suggestions for improvement
Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality (1–2 years in a supervisory role preferred)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Eye for detail and high cleanliness standards
Comfortable using smartphones, messaging apps, and Google Sheets
Ability to lead by example and work independently
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
